how I landed here
Hi, welcome to Planet Vica, the world where my thoughts live. I’m opening it up for the first time to see what happens, so come along as I document it.
A little about me is I love writing code, but I think what I actually love is following a question until it becomes a thing.
Recently, I decided I wanted to start a blog. A normal person would probably choose a platform, pick a template, and start writing.
I started building the platform.
At first, I just wanted a simple place to publish my thoughts. Then I started wondering why writing a blog post still feels so complicated. What if you could open a page, start typing whatever is in your head, and have the site help you shape it into something worth publishing? What if it learned how you write? What if it pulled information from my schedule and knew what I had done that week, helping me brainstorm? What if it could research the topics I was writing about as I wrote? What if it could build the blog around the writing?
As I kept building, it was no longer just a blog. I was building a tool that helps people make blogs so that I could use it to make my blog.
This is, unfortunately, a pretty accurate explanation of how my mind works.
I get curious about something, start pulling on the thread, and somehow end up on a completely different side quest. Sometimes that means building an AI agent. Other times, it means going to a data lab, entering a hackathon, researching abandoned mines, starting a company, buying a turtle, hosting an event, or something else entirely.
Planet Vica is where I’m going to keep track of all of it.
It won’t only be about startups or code. It’ll be about whatever I’m building, breaking, questioning, or accidentally learning that week. Sometimes it’ll be technical. Sometimes it’ll be funny. Sometimes it might just be something strange that I can’t stop thinking about.
Think of it as a weekly report from the far, faraway Planet Vica, the world I live in.
The first transmission is, appropriately, about how I had to build a blog builder before I could start my blog.
Welcome to Planet Vica.
